I am moving this post because Lifecoach's post was kind of buried. I know we don't have many spinal cavernomas, but I want to give it the best chance of getting attention.
I was diagnosed with a cavernoma in the cervical area of my spinal cord. My symptoms were pain under and down my right arm, numbness around my waist, and high blood pressure. It took two years to daignose. My surgery was Jan. 6, 2010. My numbness has increased ten-fold. It goes from the middle of my back to my entire legs. I was told there would be numbness, but I wasn't prepared for the extent of it. My question is, has anyone experienced this with a spinal cavernoma. And if they had, how long did it take for the numbness to go away. Also, were there any treatments that were helpful
