Finding the right neurologist

Postby Jpdeanna » Fri Apr 22, 2016 11:34 pm

My son is newly diagnosed and I want to know how to be sure he gets a neorologist who is familiar with ccm's. We are in the Montreal area. How do I push for this? A lot is going on and I am feeling a little lost. Does anyone know of a neuro in the Montreal area familiar with this condition? I would be willing to drive to be sure he got the right neuro for this condition.

Welcome,
I'm sorry you are going through this with your son. I'm not familiar with the Canadian experts but if you reach out to Shawn(the AA leader in Canada)...I think he can help you.
Best wishes!
Diagnosed September '09 with one CM centered in the right insular cortex/basal ganglia. Saw many, many doctors and had surgery 12/10/10 with Dr. Spetzler. I am thrilled to have this bleeding thing out of my head even though I suffered a stroke during surgery. Have had/ continue to make an amazing recovery. http://www.thankfulforeveryday.blogspot.com
