Who are best neuro-surgeons? Newly diagnosed

Postby DarcyTBell » Fri Jun 23, 2017 3:02 pm

I have seen two NS's, with different opinions on surgery or not and am interested in getting a couple more opinions. While both the NS's I saw have experience with CM's, I want to try to get consults from those with the most experience. I have seen the names Lawton and Steinberg--are there others that should be on my short list? Who would you recommend i go after?

I live in Northern California. I am ok to travel for a consult, although would prefer if i could get someone to look at my films. Have seen Dr. Dodd (Stanford) and Dr Abla (UCSF). One said watch, one said remove. I cant find either of them mentioned in this forum.

Thanks

You might consider another opinion w/ Dr. Awad. A leading CM specialist, as well as serving on the AA
Scientific Advisory Board. http://www.angiomaalliance.org/pages.aspx?content=56. You might also check the various forum threads for other specialists.

Best wishes,
